Will the DJ meet with me to discuss my event needs?

Yes, we at Duet Events pride ourselves in excellent customer service. We encourage personal consultations and will contact you to set up a pre-planning meeting and final meeting. These meetings are important in the personalization of your event. The meetings will give you an opportunity to get to know your DJ and for your DJ to get to know you as well.

 

Do you charge for travel?

Outside of a 30 mile radius from our location there may be a travel charge. Additional charges may apply depending on location and/or event accessibility.

 

How do we pay for our event services?

A non-refundable retainer is required to hold your event date and is due at the signing of your contract. The remaining balance due is required before the event. Acceptable methods of payment include: cash, personal checks, and major credit cards.

 

How will the DJ choose the music for my event?

Music selection is a collaborative process between you and your DJ. We will work with you to determine your preferred musical tastes, styles, and artists and those which you do not prefer. Our goal is to ensure that the music played at your event is tailored to your personal tastes.

 

Will the DJ take requests at my event?

Our DJ’s are happy to take requests during the event unless the request is on your Do Not Play List.

 

Should we tip our DJ?

Gratuities are not required but are greatly appreciated if you feel your DJ gave you excellent service.

 

Do you offer lighting?

We offer a variety of lighting options. Lighting adds ambience and sets the mood for your event. We can provide dance lighting, custom gobos and decorative uplighting.
